Apart from analyzing the games on ‘Inside the NBA’, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith took the trouble of teaching Charles Barkley what social media is all about. The Philadelphia 76ers legend made a surprising revelation in February that he had finally joined Instagram. The TNT crew was excited for the Chuckster, but it slowly went down after he started to question the basics of the famous app. Despite several lessons from Shaq, Smith, and even from Ernie Johnson, it looks like Barkley still hasn’t got a grip on Instagram.
On the latest episode of ‘The Steam Room’, featuring Barkley and Johnson, the former was questioned if the lessons from his co-hosts have helped him with Instagram. The Sixers legend replied, “Well, in all fairness…I haven’t learned anything. I’m still learning. I’ve got to learn how to post stuff…that’s an essential.” Notably, the 1993 MVP has already posted 4 pictures and 5 videos on his page. However, it looks like there is a long way to go.
Barkley continued, “My thing is, I don’t wanna post stupid stuff. I want it to be fun, number 1. And on some serious issues, have conversations, spark a debate. But I’m learning. I don’t know how to post, DMs, and things like that.” Barkley has not mastered the basics yet. But he has assured the fans that he will learn it soon.

The first time he revealed that he joined Instagram, the TNT crew took advantage of Barkley’s innocence by questioning him about internet terms that he had never heard before. The 61-year-old was asked about “OnlyFans” and “Instagram Live”, for which he was clueless. However, Barkley was applauded for giving the right answer for what sliding into DMs meant. The TNT crew decided to get into action.

Inside the NBA posted an eight-minute video of Barkley learning social media. Titled, “Social Media 101 with Chuck”, the video showcased the 76ers icon’s struggles. Kenny Smith patiently taught his TNT buddy how to add a video to his story. Poor Barkley forgot to hit the record button. Later, Barkley recorded for his audience, “Hey this is Chuck here. We’re live. We are celebrating Kenny’s birthday.”
Smith then found out that Barkley had given no access to the media on his phone, which is another rookie mistake. The Houston Rockets legend was sweet enough to help him post the video, which is now available on his profile. All this while, Shaq was just in denial every time he attempted to teach Barkley. Anyhow, all of this drama was entertaining enough for the fans.
