Another player who should have been hooping right now is Bronny James, the son of LeBron. But his career has slowed down a little because of his health complications earlier this year. On his special day today, Me’arah has three words for Bronny.

Me’arah O’Neal is the youngest child of Shaquille O’Neal. LeBron James’s son, Bronny James, turned 19 today. Me’arah took to Instagram to share an image of the birthday boy.
She captioned the post, “happy birthday brother @bronny“.
Bronny James turned 19 years old today. Me’arah has always acknowledged Bronny as a brother. Bronny James has been rehabbing after suffering a cardiac arrest earlier this year. Once she learned of the incident, she shared a post and captioned it, ‘Love you brotha‘.

She has experienced first-hand the health complications that can happen to people, as her own brother Shareef O’Neal also went through critical times in his life because of a heart condition. During a practice session at USC earlier this year, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital.
Bronny made his public appearance a few weeks later at a Drake concert. He has been making his recovery since then but there is no concrete timeline for his return to the court.

Bronny James’ health scare
Bronny has a congenital heart defect. This led to him having a cardiac arrest on July 24th. This can and will be treated, according to the James family. He is now on his recovery path. LeBron James recently revealed on a media day for the Los Angeles Lakers that he hopes Bronny will return to play for USC this season.
The 19-year-old was a projected first-round pick in the 2024 draft, but after his health scare, his stock has fallen. LeBron has always talked about playing on the same team with his son when he gets to the league.
