What does the future of professional men’s basketball hold? Some of the most promising college stars come from families of NBA players. These aspiring athletes are also ranked among the top prospects for the future. One notable example is LeBron James‘ eldest son, Bronny James, who recently signed a four-year deal worth $7.9 million with the Los Angeles Lakers.

There is a good shot that the following names mentioned here will make it to the Pro League. One standout is Carmelo Anthony‘s son, who is making a distinct and impressive presence.

As per ESPN, Kiyan has been named the No. 1 high school player for the class of 2025 in New York State, something his mother still can’t fully wrap her head around. The 17-year-old is phenomenal and is quietly following in his father’s footsteps. The Long Island Lutheran highlight, Kiyan averaged 8.2 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 rebounds during EYBL Scholastic play.

Ranked as the 59th-best player by 247Sports, Carmelo Anthony’s son scored 25 points and seven rebounds in a highly anticipated game against the PSA Cardinals. With his impressive performances, Kiyan is also seeing a rise in popularity. He has shown significant improvement after he participated in AAU.

The New York Knicks legend’s son averaged 19.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game at the Nike EYBL. “I’m working out a lot with my dad now, and he keeps dropping a lot of gems on me. I feel like I’m applying that to my game really well,” Kiyan explained in a conversation with On3. The four-star guard from Long Island Lutheran consistently delivered impressive performances over the Summer. Equally talented are the Boozer twins.

The Boozer brothers, Cayden and Cameron, bring a fresh spark to basketball

As per ESPN, Cameron is ranked No. 2 in the class of 2025, while his twin brother Cayden is No. 14 in the class of 2026. Cayden averaged 12.0 points and 2.7 rebounds for his high school basketball team.

Cameron delivered a powerful performance at the Peach Jam 2024, averaging 20.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. Both twins are two-time gold medal winners for Team USA. With their latest victory, they made history by leading Nightrydas Elite to three consecutive Peach Jam championships.

Both twins made it to the 2024 USA men’s basketball U17 national team. Although Kiyan did not make the team, the twins had the opportunity to compete for a spot in the final 12-man roster. They are also 3x Florida State champions. Furthermore, the twins won gold medals at the FIBA U17 World Cup in Istanbul.

Cameron was exceptional in the Championship game dishing out 19 points on shooting 7-for-8 from the field. “This group has been together a long time and our goal, always, is to win. I’m so proud of my teammates,” Cameron said about the game. He further added, “Everyone chipped in and we played our as**s off. If you want to win, you have to get the entire team involved, it’s not just about you. I know they were trying to play me tight, and I knew guys coming off screens were going to be open because of the spacing.”

And with that, another basketball star is all set to surpass his father.

Alijah Arenas broke his father’s record?

Former Washington Wizards player Gilbert Arenas’ son, Alijah, is the No. 1 shooting guard in his class, according to 247Sports. As a shooting guard for Chatsworth Charter High School, the 17-year-old averaged 31.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 62 games while playing two seasons at Chatsworth.

Like his father, Alijah is an exceptional scorer and has even broken the high school record set by his dad. Young Arenas hit 53 points against Washington Prep, leading his high school to a 74-69 victory in the regional semifinals. While Arenas’ son is just a sophomore, he stands taller than his dad and has already received college offers from Arizona, Texas, UCLA, and more. However, Arenas has shown a keen interest in Arizona.

“My relationship with the (Arizona) staff is great there, we’re cool. They love my dad there and I love them,” Alijah said in a conversation with On3. “I’m trying to build as many relationships as I can as I go through this process. But, Arizona feels like home. They move at a great pace. They play together and as a team,” he concluded. Jermaine O’Neal and Dominique Wilkins are also included in the list of proud dads. Following in the footsteps of their famous fathers’, these star kids are striving hard to make a name for themselves.
