The son of NBA legend and midrange maestro Carmelo Anthony is making waves in men’s basketball. Kiyan Anthony has already received offers from various colleges. The predicted top recruit of the 2025 class is displaying some top-notch skills and many believe that he is well on his way to filling his father’s shoes. In fact, veteran NBA TV host Chris Miles recently posted an Instagram story, applauding the protégé’s game.

He captioned his shared post, “Kiyan Anthony showing real signs of growth today! Felt special being on the call.” The video he sourced for his followers is from League Ready and NBA Future Starts Now. The teenager’s strong point so far includes his jump shots which he seems to be very comfortable with. Additionally, he is also super-versatile at both the forward and the guard positions. While he plays as a shooting guard, having the flexibility for other positions gives him a better shot. Further, Kiyan Anthony adds to the team not just with his speed and accuracy but also with his defensive expertise.

Carmelo Anthony’s son is already a fan-favorite amongst the high schoolers and is set to make a good name for himself in the near future. But what route will he choose to continue his basketball journey?

Will Kiyan opt for Carmelo Anthony’s alma mater?

Kiyan Anthony is among the cream of the crop when it comes to high-school ballers. In fact, his influence on his teams, both the LUHI and the AAU team Melo, has made him a hot prospect for colleges. While the 17-year-old has many options open to him, he has not yet chosen where he will pursue his college basketball dream.

Nevertheless, fans are hoping he will walk in his father’s shadow and join the Syracuse Orange. It may be a good option as the New York Knicks legend won them a championship back in 2003. Kiyan also made an official recruiting trip back in October 2023, showing his inclination toward this Division-I College Basketball Program.
