“At this age, they are still so young… It feels like any one of our kids could be one bad decision away from being in a similar situation,” La La Anthony says of working with her ThreeSixty team to help young men at Rikers Island. The program equips the inmates with skills they can use during their time inside and after their release. She once again shared glimpses of her work with them during the festive season. This comes just weeks after she spent quality time with her son and family.
“Christmas/Family Day at Rikers with the guys from THREESIXTY was perfect. So much to be thankful for 🤍” La La wrote on her Instagram stories. The Power actress can be seen conversing with the inmates as they seemingly got a taste of the festivities, with a little decoration and some good food. “@melbashherlem you always come through with the best food,” she shared.
As a result of her acts of service, the NY City had the ultimate honor for the 42-year-old just days ago — her very own street name.

Through ThreeSixty, La La offers more than just hope. From leadership programs and sports to mental health support and legal aid, her efforts are shaping brighter futures. Just in April this year, one of the inmates received a full scholarship to study at Columbia University after less than a year of being released. “It’s really amazing to see that when you take them out of jail and put them in the right environment, with the right opportunities and love and support, incredible things can happen,” Anthony had said, speaking to People.
She has had quite the year that way and she seems to have ensured to savor the success well with little limits back home.
Alongside son Kiyan, who also announced his decision to join Syracuse, and a few friends, La La enjoyed not one but two Thanksgiving parties with the same bunch. “Pre gaming with the fam the night before Thanksgiving went craaazzzyyyyy 😂😂😂🦃🦃❤️❤️❤️HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!!!!” she had written. It would involve a table full of food, some games, and even a karaoke night. Kiyan had even passed out after the first run. But the two did have a lot to be thankful for.

Not the only time Kiyan and La La Anthony brought smiles to other people’s faces
During the celebratory week, the 42-year-old made the most of her time with her son. Two weeks ago, they collaborated on another noble venture of La La Anthony, which was her seventh annual event — the Annual Winter Wonderland, which helped hundreds of underserved children in the borough. Naturally, Kiyan Anthony also showed up to help his mother and other kids.
In one such instance, the RHOM star highlighted in her stories, “@kiyananthony in the building!!!” as the 17-year-old received some love from the kids, while he distributed gifts like Playstation 5. “It’s just giving Christmas and holiday cheer to the community during this time of the year,” she added, encouraging her followers for the same.
