Carmelo Anthony took to social media to make a massive announcement. A video showcased the 10x NBA All-Star promoting the ‘Bail Project.’ This new venture by Melo is set to financially aid people. The star’s very positive message gained significant traction on social media and also caught the eyes of fellow stars who promoted it.
The post read, “I’ve witnessed how the system impacts our communities, especially people of color and those struggling financially. Nearly half a million people are stuck in jail just because they can’t afford bail, and that’s not right.” The words resonated with the fans, who began sharing the post immediately.
Among the fellow NBA stars who saw it was Dwyane Wade. He reposted the video to his Instagram stories adding the caption, “Freedom should be FREE!!” and “my brother” while tagging Anthony’s account and adding a salute emoji.
