Melo’s co-host comedian The Kid Mero said that now when he watches a Knicks game and sees their coach draw up a play on the board, all he sees is a play fit for the NBA veteran to execute. So out of curiosity, he asked for his take on it and who, according to the 39 year old was perfect for that situation. Anthony said, “I prefer me. Me with that team, the Knicks. That would have been a special team.” The NBA veteran then went on to explain how his addition would help the team. He said, “Because I know…the makeup of a team. You have presence in the paint.”
“You have the best shot block in the game. Arguably. You have a force in Julius [Randle]”, he added. As per the NBA veteran, on top of all these qualities in the squad, if you add prime Melo to the rotation, the rest of the league will have a big problem to deal with. Melo was truly a special player who could take up any defense on a regular day. However, his genius was at its peak when he showed you his impeccable body control and footwork, which could put most pros to shame.
