The ‘unsellable’ Chicago mansion of Michael Jordan has been on the market for over a decade now. Mike built the house to his own liking in the 1990s. But the mansion, even though it screams luxury, is heavily outdated for the current tastes of the people. That’s why it is still available for half the price it was originally put up for sale.

Even though Jordan decided to sell his Chicago mansion after getting engaged for the second time, he never failed to show his love for the children he had with his first wife.

Michael Jordan shows his love for his children in his own lavish way

The mansion in Chicago is marked with Jordan signs and the number 23 in various places. One of the key features of the mansion is its full-sized indoor basketball court. It’s a standard regulatory court with perfect lighting. The court has the name ‘JORDAN‘ written down on either baseline under the hoop.

But apart from his own name, he has shown his love for his children by putting their names on the court as well. In the middle of the court is the iconic Jumpman logo. Even though he has two children with his second wife, he only has the names of his children from his first wife on the court.

With Jordan paying over $100,000 in property tax every year, the Chicago mansion is really bleeding Jordan off his wealth. But for the 3.5 billion-dollar Chicago Bulls legend, it’s not significant.

Why is the manion still unsold after a decade?

Michael Jordan initially put up the mansion for sale for $29 million.

But since the property has not seen any signs of a change of hand, he recently changed the price of the mansion to $14,855,000. The digits add up to his iconic ’23’. Jordan has also offered a pair of all Air Jordan shoes ever made to whoever buys the property to entice more suitors.

Realtors believe that the extreme customization of the mansion is the real reason for people turning their faces. But there were no real suitors for the property, as it resembled more like a museum of Michael Jordan than a place to live.

What do you think is the real reason for the mansion remaining unsellable? Let us know in the comments!
