The Chicago Bulls era in the 90s was arguably the best time to be a basketball fan. While the Bulls did dominate the decade, every other franchise benefitted from the immense popularity that the sport gained during that time. What could have been a fairytale with only positives to look at, has turned ugly over the years.
Today, there is a lot of animosity between those athletes, mainly between Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan. Recently, a 66-year-old sportscaster unearthed one of the most outrageous comments made by Pippen, which was aimed at Phil Jackson.

Even today, the Bulls hold a lot of respect among hoop fans. Their absolute dominance in the 90s was a testament to the mentality that was flourishing inside the camp. While fans only have fond memories of the team, teammates have taken a different route altogether.
Over the last few years, this 58-year-old Bulls star has been on a rant against Jordan. Using every opportunity to tarnish his image, Pippen has said some outrageous things lately. However, for a seasoned media personality like Dan Patrick, Pippen’s comment on Coach Jackson holds more significance.
During a recent podcast appearance, Patrick highlighted the sad state of journalism using Pippen as a reference. The 66-year-old said that when the 7x All-Star was riding high on his hate train, everyone focused on what he said about MJ or LeBron James. However, what caught Patrick’s attention was the racial discrimination allegations against Pippen’s coach. Patrick said, “That’s the quote. Nobody’s asking him about that. He basically called Phil Jackson a racist”. Pippen had said that Toni Kukoc taking the last shot in the Eastern Conference Semifinals was indicative of Jackson being a racist. Seeing the media’s lack of attention to that comment, Patrick took matters into his own hands.
He called Pippen on his show and addressed the comment to which Pippen reaffirmed his thoughts on his ex-coach.
