Burying Past Animosity Against Kobe Bryant, Dennis Rodman Joins Millions in Commemorating Lakers Legend on 45th Birthday

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has always been an inspiration for the young generation. His impact transcends the basketball world. His absence is also felt by people from every corner. On his 45th birthday, millions of fans emotionally penned down their heart-warming tributes to the Lakers legend. Joining them is the 5-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman. Although both the players were not on friendly terms, Bryant had a great relationship with Rodman’s children. His daughter Natalia Bryant was on the same soccer team as the Worm’s daughter Trinity Rodman. He also had a wonderful bond with DJ Rodman Jr.

But what still baffles people is Rodman’s obscene remarks about his former teammate. However, the champion seems to have forgotten about all the past enmity as he remembers the late Lakers legend.

Dennis Rodman pens down a birthday message for Kobe Bryant

Back in the 1998-99 season, Rodman had the opportunity to play alongside the 18-time NBA All-Star. While the Worm maintained a good presence playing his part on the team, his work ethic was clearly in stark contrast to that of Kobe Bryant. The athletes played 23 games together before Rodman was released. 

On the occasion of what would’ve been Kobe’s 45th birthday, the Rebound King sang an ode. Taking to his Instagram, Rodman shared a picture of him and Bryant on his Story and wrote, “Happy Birthday Kobe Bryant.”

Three years after the tragic incident, the legend’s lasting legacy is still alive in people’s hearts as they continue to pour in their love. While Dennis Rodman has often shared some details about his experience playing with The Black Mamba, his past remarks remain most bewildering for NBA fans.

Rodman’s feud with Kobe 

Dennis the Menace had bad blood with the Lakers legend. It is not a secret to the public.

At least, not after Rodman chose to publicly comment on his former teammate. In a snippet shared by TMZ, Rodman was seen verbally pummelling the former Lakers player. 

However, over the years, both the players seemed to have left all the bad emotions behind. Well, what most people don’t know about is the connection Bryant shared with Rodman’s children.

Both Trinity and her brother have mentioned Kobe’s Mamba mentality as their inspiration. And it stands true for several other aspiring young talents.
