That’s why, now, from content creators to physical trainers, everybody wants in on the success. There is no NBA Fan who hasn’t imagined what it would be like to share the hardwood with their favorite players. But you can imagine that for actual players, this is a slightly different prospect. Those who are in the league dream of playing with the legends they watched growing up.
A fantasy basketball team is something that not only fans but the players think about as well. This was recently seen during an interview when a prominent Golden State Warriors player chose his top five players, snubbing a legend at the last minute.

Coming fresh off a resounding golf victory, 35-year-old point guard Stephen Curry recently sat down for an interview with BuzzFeed Celeb. During the puppy-based interview, Curry was asked about his all-time fantasy basketball team. To fans’ delight, Steph went on to pick 5 players for his starting lineup. The 4-time champ said that he would pick Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O?Neal at the 5, Tim Duncan as his power forward, and Larry Bird as his small forward.
After clarifying whether he himself is on the team or not, the player proceeded to choose six-time champion Michael Jordan as his shooting guard.
In the end, however, Curry made a last-minute adjustment. “Late addition I’m not taking Larry, I’m taking Kobe as my small forward.”
He made a change to replace Larry Bird with the late Kobe Bryant. Curry rounded out his list by putting in Magic Johnson as his point guard. It’s a dream team that sounds rather impossible to beat.
Out of the five people selected, Stephen Curry has had the opportunity to play against three of them.
Larry Bird once snubbed Curry for another player as well
While Curry may have chosen another player over Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird, it doesn?t change the fact that Larry Legend continues to be one of the best players that the sport has ever witnessed.
As an all-time great, Bird was capable of seeing the potential of upcoming players too. He may, however, have disrespected Curry by not acknowledging his talent early on.

During an interview on the Dan Patrick show in 2015, Larry was asked about whether he thinks Curry is the best shooter he has ever seen. Larry replied, ?No, I don?t know about that.?
Instead of Curry, the Hall of Famer would go on to place his preference on former player Chris Mullin. When Dan asked if Larry would choose Curry amongst the best deep shooters, he replied ?Yeah I?d say he?s, he?s right there.?
