As a mother to a 4-year-old daughter, the 50-year-old Gabrielle continues to break the stereotype of ‘old mothers’. As she makes the most of her time with her baby daughter, the undeniable chemistry between the mother and daughter is palpable.?

However, the now happy mother was once doubtful about welcoming her daughter into the world. But why?

The NBA couple got married in 2013 and remain happily married till today. However, the couple did go through a rough patch after Dwyane Wade confessed to being unfaithful to Gabrielle Union-Wade and fathering another child (Xavier Zecharia Wade) with reality TV celebrity, Aja Meteyor.

After they worked on their communication and trust, the couple decided to stay together and grow as a family. The couple faced another hurdle in their marriage after Gabrielle Union-Wade suffered a gynecologic condition called ‘Adenomyosis’. This resulted in the couple not being able to conceive a child together.

However, the couple welcomed their Kaavia James in November of 2018 via surrogate. The couple were initially doubtful of whether they should go ahead with the medical process, but after going through with it and welcoming their daughter Kaavia James, the couple seem to finally be living the best version of their lives.
