Let’s be real. That Jake Paul and Mike Tyson bout has been giving everyone a curious case of heartburn. It would be wild to think the former influencer could win. But what if he does? Udonis Haslem can’t even picture that world. With Nate Robinson on his podcast, The OGs, giving Paul the benefit of the doubt too was too difficult for him. So much so that he was trying to recruit Robinson to save Mike Tyson’s reputation. His idea though is straight out of a ’90s cartoon.

If Tyson losing that fight, the lightsgonna go out and we gonna jump his [Paul] a**,” was UD’s ingenious idea. He probably pictured the Looney Tunes when he said, “The lights going to go out and they just going to cut the lights on and Jake Paul gonna be sleep in the ring.”

Despite the desperation to preserve Iron Mike’s fierce rep, Robinson and Haslem’s co-host Mike Miller pleaded to be left out of his hilarious plans. If by some worst-case scenario, Tyson loses, Robinson wants the world to leave him alone and wallow in that cultural reset.

Despite the lack of support, the 3x NBA champion is passionately trying to convince them. “We can’t let that go down, we can’t do that for the culture, we cannot let Jake Paul whoop Tyson.” Unfortunately, Haslem’s pleas are falling on deaf ears.

Nate Robinson counters UD’s plan

The formidable Iron Mike is coming out of retirement at 58 to take on the ring’s problem child, aka Jake Paul on Netflix. When we pictured the return of Mike Tyson, this is not the matchup we expected but we have to roll with it. Haslem has rarely spoken about other sports on his podcast but he’s probably admired the boxing titan for too long to let him lose to Paul. As much as there are like-minded people, he’s not getting enough soldiers to jump Paul.

Robinson sent out a message to Paul that by some miracle if he won, he should keep himself and his followers away from him. He is not going to give out opinions and statements and will instead find Tyson to chill with him.

Nate Robinson’s plans sound more appealing than Haslem’s. Mostly because UD’s plan is doable only if Jake Paul was Daffy Duck. And logistically turning off the lights at the AT&T Stadium in Texas doesn’t seem plausible. How would you react though if the unthinkable happens?
