Shaquille O’Neal’s world operates on a different scale. Forget mere millions or a towering physique; the real intrigue lies in the sheer audacity of his lifestyle, a realm where even romantic entanglements supposedly come in quadruplets. But while a playful jab about multiple girlfriends once stirred the internet, the truth about Shaq’s affections is far more mechanical and undeniably grand: an obsession with a customized fleet of over 40 cars, each a reflection of his larger-than-life persona.

If you could borrow anything from Shaquille O’Neal, what would top your list? Maybe his millions, right? Or perhaps that towering, larger-than-life frame? Then again, some might be more interested in the lifestyle he seems to enjoy—one that supposedly involves having four girlfriends.

That buzz started when Jess Hilarious dropped an eyebrow-raising story on The Breakfast Club, sharing that during a visit to Shaq’s Atlanta home, she spotted him hanging out with four white women. As you might expect, Shaquille O’Neal didn’t shy away from the chatter. In fact, he leaned right into it with a chuckle. “I don’t need to be selective—I got four white girls at the crib chilling,” he joked during his appearance on the It’s Giving Podcast. But there’s a twist you might not have seen coming. It turns out, Shaq’s number of “girlfriends” goes way beyond four.

However, they aren’t human. They’re machines. Yes, yet another thing about Shaquille O’Neal’s larger-than-life existence that many could desire for: his insane car collection. If you’ve followed the 4x NBA champ at all, you know he’s had a lifelong love affair with cars. We’re talking about more than 40 customized rides, each one tweaked to fit his 7’1″ frame perfectly.

From sleek supercars to massive, head-turning SUVs, his collection is a reflection of his big personality. And when it comes to Dodge Hellcats—those growling, powerhouse machines—Shaq has a real soft spot. At one point, he even owned 10 of them. Now, you might wonder, how does anyone juggle such a monstrous fleet? Trust Shaq to have a method that’s both hilarious and strangely relatable.

“I treat them [cars] like girlfriends. So, my police car girlfriend, I haven’t seen her in a while, so I’ll probably take her on a date tonight. When I’m leaving tomorrow for a week, so I’ll probably take my favorite girlfriend out tonight,” Shaq shared during The Big Podcast. Naturally, someone had to ask him who the “favorite girlfriend” was, and Adam Lefkoe didn’t disappoint.

Big Diesel revealed it’s none other than his Mad Max truck. Now, if that doesn’t scream car lover, there’s more. Shaq owns multiple Tesla Cybertrucks, each customized differently, showing just how deep his passion runs. However, at times, this love has been so obsessive that the ex-Laker has, at times, forgotten about some of these “girlfriends”.

Shaquille O’Neal’s car collection recently took a major hit

When Shaq stepped away from the NBA, slowing down was never part of his plan. Instead, he dived headfirst into the business world, putting his money to work in restaurants, tech startups, and real estate deals. With smart moves like that, it’s no wonder Shaq could afford to feed one of his priciest passions—his jaw-dropping car collection. But during a recent episode of The Big Podcast, Shaq let slip something fans didn’t see coming.

He admitted he had so many cars that he forgot some of them even existed. That honest reveal set off a chain reaction—he decided to part ways with nine of his Hellcats and listed another gem for sale. For someone whose garage has always been a playground for his larger-than-life personality, this was no small decision. Selling off 10 cars in one go is a big dent, even for Shaq’s legendary lineup.

As per an article by Marca, the nine Hellcats together were worth around $1 million, a serious slice of his automotive empire. Yet another car turning heads from his collection? The 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, affectionately nicknamed the “Shaqcat.” Built by Forbes Performance in Las Vegas, this custom creation features a slick black leather and Alcantara interior and was designed especially for him—one of just three made.

Now, it’s waiting for a new owner on Supercar Blondie’s website. As Shaq put it simply, “I had 10 of them, but now I only have one. I sold them, traded them.” Clearly, despite treating them like his “girlfriends”, there is a certain number that Shaquille O’Neal can comfortably juggle around with.
