And now, Blake Griffin will be a guest at a show made famous by David Chang. The celebrity chef and writer has brought in 26 guests already for his Dinner Time with David Chang show. Blake Griffin shared his enthusiasm about the project and wrote, “I’m hungryre-sharing the Instagram story of his long-time friend, Ben Schwartz.

Reggie Miller and Kendrick Perkins were the guests on Episode 16. Meanwhile, comedian Nikki Glaser, who once brutally roasted the Los Angeles Clippers star appeared on Episode 12. During the 2019 Comedy Central show, ‘Roast of Alec Baldwin,’ Griffin was at the receiving end of many of such jokes. He wanted to pursue comedy for a while, but where did it start?

Alongside his NBA career, the 6x NBA All-Star continued performing at open mics and met Neal Brennan. The co-creator of Chappelle’s Show became a friend and a mentor for Griffin and helped him not fumble during his comedy debut. During the 2016 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the nervousness got to him, and did fumbled a few jokes. Since then, he has never looked back ever since and continued on his journey.

Have an interesting take?

My whole idea is to start now, to get in and meet a bunch of people, shadow people, and learn the ins and outs so when I’m done playing, I’m not starting fresh,” said Griffin in 2018, 2 years after making his debut. Now with a Sony deal in the bag as well as his Netflix appearance coming up, it feels Griffin’s planning and hard work paid off.
