It’s the 52nd birthday of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. His daughter Taahirah, shared on social media over this special day. Taahirah is his eldest child, her mother is Shaunie Henderson, who used to be married to the LA Lakers legend. 

Even though they were no longer together, the couple kept up a good friendship. That may be what has made Taahirah’s bond with her dad stronger. Taahirah has a great bond with her father, even though she grew up with her mother. 

Recently, in an Instagram story, Taahirah shared a video of her father sitting in front of her. She was filming him and laughingly said “Can you smile”. The caption read: “He is so sick of me”, though Shaq does not respond or react over this. You can have a look at the story she posted, here:

Beyond his sons, Shaquille O’Neal adores his daughters

Shaq is a proud dad of six kids. If you saw Shaquille O’Neal on the Dear Fathers’ program, you knew he wouldn’t hold back when talking about parenting. Shaq talked about raising his kids by listing some of the things he has to do as a dad. While he was doing this, O’Neal said something about how he raises his boys that they wouldn’t like.

Shaquille O’Neal has a few of the strangest parenting skills, which is not a surprise. One of these tactics is giving special treatment to some of his children, which sounds even stranger than it is. Shaq made it very clear that he thought his daughters had more advantages than his sons. Because they are polite to their dad, the boys don’t mind about it.

“My girls get more privileges than my guys. My guys understand that and they don’t question that… Got lot more love for the girls than I do for the boys,” Shaq said.

Shaq’s father, Phillip Harrison, taught him a lot of good family principles. An old Los Angeles Lakers player said that the sergeant often told him that a man’s job is to love, shield, and care for his family. O’Neal has been very protective of all three of his daughters because he is a girl dad.
