Jayson Tatum‘s Boston Celtics secured conference finals, and the celebrations came with a Michael Jordan touch. The Celtics swept the Indiana Pacers 4-0 in the conference finals stage to make it to the finals for the second time this decade. As the Celtics became the first team to confirm their spot, the locker room celebrations were bound to be fun.

Franchise owner Wyc Grousbeck’s better half, Emilia Fazzalari, posted some photos of celebrations from the locker room. The photos featured Oshae Brissett and Payton Pritchard, having Cincoro Tequila — a brand Michael Jordan co-owns. “Celebrating the @celtics East Conference win with @cincoro 🥃✨,” read the caption to Fazzalari’s IG post. Notably, Celtics owner Grousbeck and his wife Emilia are also co-owners of Cincoro along with MJ.

In fact, as per the origin story on the official website of the tequila brand, it all started with Michael Jordan meeting with some other franchise owners of the NBA. “One night, five NBA owners Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck of the Celtics, Jeanie Buss of the Lakers, Michael Jordan of the Hornets, and Wes Edens of the Bucks met for dinner. That evening they bonded over their shared love for tequila. From there Cincoro was born,” the website states. It further mentions Cincoro as ultra-smooth, rich, and simply delicious.

It would seem like the right blend for the Celtics who have slid through the season with much ease. They finished the regular season at the top of the table and defeated the Heat in the playoffs’ first round by 4-1. Similarly, they secured a 4-1 win against the Cavaliers in the conference semi-finals and a clean sweep against the Pacers in the conference finals. However, former Heat star Udonis Haslem believes this near-perfect run can be a problem for the team in the Finals.

Udonis Haslem’s take on the Celtics in the NBA Finals

The opinion came from the 3x NBA champion while the Celtics were still playing the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference semi-finals. And the premise of his statement was that no team in the East challenged the Celtics enough throughout this season. So one may wonder how the team will overcome if the opposing team puts them in an adverse situation.

Udonis stated he understands no team is going to beat the Celtics right now, but he believed they were not battle-tested till then. “I don’t know if that’s a good thing to get battle-tested in the finals… I don’t know if you want to be battle-tested by Denver or Minnesota, or one of those teams; that might be too late to be battle-tested,” he said on ESPN.

Wolves may have ousted Nuggets of the championship race. And now they themselves stand on the verge of the same fate, but the core point of Haslem’s argument still stands. Will Celtics be able to overcome a tricky situation if the Mavericks or Wolves were to put them into one in the NBA finals?
