Magic Johnson is using his retirement life to educate the world on sensitive topics through global conferences. One such is his appearance at the Milken Institute Global Conference, which took place from May 5th to 8th at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. While Johnson usually does things like this alone, he was accompanied by a few stars this time from various industries. A few who caught his attention were Golden State Warriors star Chris Paul and Hollywood’s best Chris Tucker. Let’s see what Johnson had to say about these stars.

The theme for the Milken Institute Global Conference this year was “Shaping a Shared Future, where the goal is to tackle the challenge of “complexities of artificial intelligence” and, the “ongoing climate crisis“. Interesting, isn’t it? The Los Angeles Lakers legend was called as one of the speakers, among several other businessmen. Chris Paul and Chris Tucker were part of it too, whom Johnson spent some time with.

He shared his experience with the Rush Hour fame, “I enjoyed seeing my boy, actor, and comedian Chris Tucker today at the Milken Institute Global Conference!”. He shared in another post, “It was great to see NBA superstar and future Hall of Famer Chris Paul making connections and doing business today at Milken!” Looks like the Warriors guard using the off-season wisely.

Johnson is just one of the many speakers at the global conference. As per Milken Institute’s page“The 2024 Global Conference will gather 4,000 attendees, including over 1,000 speakers”. This also involves executives from Fortune 500 companies and global leaders from various industries. It must have been truly an honor for Johnson and Paul to get an invite to speak at a prestigious conference like this. Johnson’s success in business is well known. He owns franchises from various leagues which has helped him reach the billionaire mark. But what about Chris Paul?

The 12x All-Star has a net worth of $220 million, and his entry into team ownership was quite late. Unlike many, Paul did not want to invest his money into an American league or team. He rather decided to become a minority owner of a team in the Indian Premier League(IPL). Rajasthan Royals, an Indian cricket team, has Paul as one of its owners.

Paul told the media, “I am excited to have become one of the first US athletes to see the value and scope for growth in the IPL.” This unique interest in ownership will not end here. Paul will be interested in owning an NBA team as well in the future. He said. “Man, I definitely want to be in an ownership group. It’s a few reasons, but one of them is my love for the game.” Hopefully, we will get to see more appearances from the 39-year-old in global conferences soon.
