LA Dodgers have made it to the World Series and Magic Johnson couldn’t be any happier. The former NBA star, and now a part owner of the Dodgers, had been rooting for his team throughout. Not with just some flowery social media posts, but with his presence in the most crucial moments for the team. He, however, never fails to recognize the efforts of real heroes of the team—the players, the coach and the staff. Something that even his recent post on X reflected.
“Congratulations to the Dodgers players, Manager Dave Roberts, the entire ownership group, and to all of Dodger Nation on beating the Mets and advancing to the World Series!!” Magic wrote on X. The Dodgers clinched their spot in the World Series by defeating the Mets (10-5) in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium.

Now, Magic Johnson’s team is set for a showdown with the New York Yankees starting Friday, right back at home in Los Angeles. This matchup is one for the history books! It’s the 12th time the Dodgers and Yankees will meet in the Fall Classic. But it’s been over 40 years since their last face-off in 1981, when the Dodgers took the crown. Sure, the Yankees have won eight of the previous 11, but could this be the year the Dodgers turn the tables?
This is a developing story.
