Beyond Wonderland has always drawn big crowds and big talent. However, this year its ‘biggest’ artist has to regretfully skip. Shaquille O’Neal has always made the most of the SoCal festival. He was listed as one of the performers for a segment. However, that’s not happening anymore. Giving the reason for his absence, Shaq himself apologized on his DJ Diesel Instagram page.

uhh oh…. this is not the news I wanted to share with y’all… unfortunately due to an unforeseen international business trip I am no longer able to make it to Beyond SoCal in a few weeks…,” O’Neal wrote on the DJ Diesel page’s Instagram Stories.

Beyond Wonderland is scheduled for March 22 and 23 in Southern California with a packed lineup. The official website states that DIESEL was one of the Friday performers at the Queen’s Domain stage. Since that won’t be happening, the EDM veteran assured he’s going to make it up to SoCal dubstep maniacs in his way.

Shaq has become a Beyond Wonderland staple over the years. Among the many festivals he’s a regular at, he had crowds head-banging in SoCal in 2021 and 2022 too. As for the international business trip, it’s so far unclear. Nonetheless, DJ Diesel is certainly busy this month.

DJ Diesel has a busy March

Shaq’s regular collaborator and Beyond Wonderland performer, Level Up, recently joined him for a new track. The duo released “LVL UP” this month, a track they first gave a glimpse of during their live performance in 2022. The track is everything you want from an EDM song, complete with Shaq’s bass-heavy signature.

Just before Beyond Wonderland and his international trip, Shaq will be in Kansas City for the Big 12 Championships. He’s going to headline the Power & Light District Fan Fest after the championship games on March 16. This is the second consecutive year he’s leading the Fan Fest at the Kansas City Live! Stage. Another EDM upstart, LC Danger, will be Shaq’s opening act.
