One might expect that a top-notch athlete like Barkley keeps up with his healthy nutrition habits even after retiring from the NBA. But to everyone’s surprise, Barkley elaborated on a time when he indulged in his favorite treat all day long.

Charles Barkley has opened up about his weight struggles in the past. Since hanging up his boots and bidding farewell to the game of basketball, he has been struggling with his massive physique, which at a point in time helped him to dominate the basketball court. Before he got on the train of fat loss, he revealed that he used to treat himself with some of the best glazing buns.

Charles Barkley’s love for donuts

Charles Barkley has often stated his love for a specific billion dollar company. In a clip uploaded online, he can be seen expressing his love for Krispy Kreme donuts. He even recalled of a time when he feasted on those throughout his day.

Barkley said, “It was one Sunday morning, I said ‘I just want some Krispy Kreme’ so I ordered a dozen.”?The 1993 MVP revealed that he ate the twelve doughnuts throughout the course of his day. He split the 12 donuts into three meals. It seems like the 76ers legend’s love for donuts exceeds his love for basketball. He even bragged about his ability to have the full box of donuts in one sitting.

Despite his love for donuts, he revealed that he needed to lose an awful amount of weight for his daughter’s wedding.

Charles Barkley’s weight loss journey

Charles Barkley in a conversation with Jimmy Kimmel, opened up about the time when he had to lose the extra calories during his daughter’s wedding. Barkley said, “Yeah, I?ve been working out hard because apparently, they gotta pick me up in a chair.”?

He added, “I need all Jewish people on deck because, you know, I can only get so skinny by Saturday.”?His urgent need for losing weight was mainly due to the tradition of Jewish people to lift the bride’s father up in a chair. It was pretty inspiring to see Barkley lose 100 pounds for his daughter’s special occasion.
