Shaquille O’Neal is getting a second shot at making one fan’s wish come true. In 2021, while on The Coaches Network podcast, Shaq revealed one fan communicated her desire to have him on her podcast. Now that The Big Podcast is back, his mystery friend has come out of the woodwork to revive her pitch.

I’m all about making people happy, I’m all about just making people smile,” Shaq said in 2021. “I was in my DMs one day, I got a DM from this beautiful girl from London, she wanted me to be on her podcast. I told her I was doing it. We kind of lost contact. She said she really wanted me to do it, that’s why I’m here with your fellas.”

Shaq was hoping that bringing it up on The Coaches Network will help re-establish contact with his friend and it worked. An X user who goes by ‘Zephyr’ posted the clip on December 26 and wrote, “happy Shaq day – fyi i’m the beautiful girl from London and I DID THAT.

Zephyr certainly did. She’s a resident of Canary Wharf in London and dabbles in real estate as well as running a literature blog. Now we’re anticipating that podcast collab that was promised a long time ago.

Podcaster Shaq is back

O’Neal rebooted his entertaining show, The Big Podcast with Shaq in December 2023. This time he’s working with sports entertainment giant, Playmaker HQ to launch The Big Podcast Network, Not only is it producing The Big Podcast revival, it’s going to give a platform for other content creators.

He’s got a new co-host too, TNT’s Adam Lefkoe. Playmaker HQ’s award-winning producer, Shaine Freeman is also involved on air.

Shaq could give Zephyr’s podcast a boost under his banner too. Since Zepher Writes is a haven for bookworms, they could discuss one of the many biographies and memoirs Shaq has co-authored. Meanwhile, we can all enjoy the usual Shaq-isms on The Big Podcast on its official social channels on YouTube, Apple and Spotify along with other apps.
