Expressing concern over the circumstances, Stephen Jackson spoke about the false narrative present in the league and about LeBron James during the discussion.

Jackson who spent 14 seasons in the NBA is one player who has seen and been around more things in the league than anyone. While the veteran spoke about the issues that continue to bother the young generation, he also praised James, the much-celebrated player in the league.

On the latest episode of ‘Funky Friday Podcast,’ Stephen Jackson sat with Cam Newton for a candid conversation. The show gave an insight into Jackson’s personal and professional life. Besides that, the 2003 NBA champion also spoke about the issues with the false facade that some tend to opt for in the league.

When the host asked Jackson about how to prevent such issues, he said, “I think now you know with the music and all this they think like as an athlete you have to portray a certain thug side to be respected as an athlete. That’s so false bro. You know what I’m saying? It’s about playing the game.” Moving on with the conversation, the 45-year-old stated how LeBron James has been commendable in every sphere of his life.

Praising the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, Jackson also mentioned how he always urges his sons to be like the 4-time NBA champion. He said, “I tell my sons all the time to be just like LeBron James because he’s done everything right; from family to basketball to business to bringing his friends along putting them in a position to win. Like, I would tell them to follow that aspect.”

Apart from being the All-Time leading scorer in the league, he is also the first active NBA player to become a billionaire. With a net worth of $1 billion, he is also involved in charity work.
