Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most domineering players to have ever played in the NBA. A colossal figure, the big man stood at 7 feet tall and dominated the NBA during his time. Boasting an explosiveness that allowed him to soar high despite his ginormous size, the center was the complete package. While the 4x NBA champion commanded the league with his skillset, he still had to wait 8 years before earning his first ring. This was due to the utter dominance of Michael Jordan who overshadowed Shaq as he took charge of the NBA for an entire decade.
Widely regarded as the G.O.A.T, MJ was the fiercest competitor the NBA has ever seen. A tenacious personality, Black Jesus ran rampant with the Chicago Bulls during the 1990s as he won 6 championships in 8 years. While Shaq and Jordan shared many battles over the years, there is none more iconic than their 1V1 from 27 years ago. Recently resurfacing on the internet, the clip garnered the attention of many as fans reacted to the battle of the giants.

The video shows the two icons playing 1V1 as Jordan lets the big man take the first shot. The G.O.A.T can be seen dribbling with his back towards Shaq as he hits a fade away that bounces off the ring and onto the court. A rare sight, MJ laughs off the missed shot as he returns to defend the big man one more time.
Looking to settle the game once and for all, the 3x finals MVP then takes on Jordan as he chooses to dribble past him this time around. Charging in head on Shaq can be seen hitting a double crossover before showing his dominance in the paint. Not only does the giant manage to score against Jordan but he does so by faking the legend into oblivion as he cooly slots the ball into an empty net.
While Jordan wonders with a “get out of here,” fans were in awe of this sequence as they flocked in the comment section.
