After breaking barriers in his acquisition of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Magic Johnson is more than happy to accommodate those next in line to follow in his footsteps.
The Baltimore Orioles’ changing ownership signals a changing tide. Among the new men in charge are NBA and MLB legends, Grant Hill and Cal Ripken Jr. respectively. And Magic, as the trailblazer himself, was quick to pen a note to them.

Since taking over the team, he has led them to 10 straight NL titles, including multiple World Series appearances and victories. Keeping his time in the NBA as a backdrop, the 5x NBA Champion may have brought Showtime, or the closest thing to it, to the MLB as well.
While he tries to replicate similar success in the NFL with the Washington Commanders, others are taking the baton in baseball. With the Orioles struggling as a franchise, both from on-field and off-field perspectives, can this new ownership group turn their fortunes around?
