Reebok is making moves that are catching the world’s attention. After announcing Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson as the first citizens of the basketball division, they made their first signing with LSU star Angel Reese. It’s as historic as when a rookie Big Diesel was the first athlete to be the face of the brand’s signature line. The duo is taking strides to be at par with major sneaker titans and deserves the hype.
The hosts of ‘Club 520‘ are excited about this major power move. They were even subtly trying to get Shaq’s attention for a possible collaboration. But it’s the new Reebok execs who are getting all the praise.

The hottest topic right now is the NBA legends in Reebok’s leadership. With Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson at the helm of the basketball division, anticipation is high. Some NBA stars are confident the duo are going to be extremely successful.
Jeff Teague and his co-hosts at ‘Club 520′ podcast were all for it. Teague won an NBA championship in 2021 with the Milwaukee Bucks before retiring and turning to coaching. He was an Adidas signee during his career, but his loyalties are with the new dynamic duo at Reebok.
Teague started by taking away the Man of Steel mantle from Dwight Howard and solely placing it with Shaq. If Shaq is Superman, there’s no better sidekick than Allen Iverson. Bringing up his and Iverson’s new Reebok roles, ‘Club 520′ chorused “That’s fire” and “We gonna rock Reebok.”
Other than enticing the NBA stars and Reebok into a collaboration, Teague’s team declared, “Shaq about to be a billionaire.” Not hard to believe. His very first job as the head was signing the biggest star in college basketball. After hyping the stardom of LSU’s Angel Reese for months, he commemorated by signing an NIL deal with her.

Now that Reese is returning to LSU to defend the title, she could potentially give Reebok an unprecedented boost which the prez and VP are hoping for. O’Neal doesn’t want Reese to play it humble and wants her to strut on the court like the unapologetic Reebok athlete she is.
Reese will not be the last in these grand schemes. Talent acquisition is a major part of O’Neal and Iverson’s responsibilities. They’re looking forward to building a roster of game-changing athletes to represent Reebok.

Shaquille O’Neal draws attention to brand
Teague and his team know their Reeboks, gushing over the recognizable red and white runners. The hosts discussed how underrated some of the signature Reebok shoes are. As history goes, Big Diesel was responsible for the brand’s first line of signature shoes by an athlete and Iverson’s shoes remain as iconic as the trendsetter himself. Teague’s co-host even boasted about owning every shoe in AI’s collection.
After exiting Reebok to start an affordable shoe line, O’Neal is bringing all his business savvy as president of the basketball division in 2023. They’re doing more than simply releasing new designs of the Shaq Attaq shoes. The 4x NBA champion will bring the same energy while involved in the design, signing players, board meetings, and everything else.
