Dwight Howard only just had a dramatic exit from Dancing with the Stars and he wants to have a different kind of competition. He’s watching his nemesis, Shaquille O’Neal pop up in this Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul extravangza, talking about wanting to host and fight his own celebrity matchup. Only appropriate Dwight issue a challenge of his own. As much as fans would love this, Howard revealed there’s a glitch though. Shaq’s not listening.

Shaquille O’Neal is in AT&T Stadium, rooting for Mike Tyson. He bet a million dollars on his fave, but that’s lost now. O’Neal and his son, Myles, were there with NFL pro-Rob Gronkowski and had a brainstorming session on the spot. They want to do an NBA vs. NFL celebrity showdown at the scale of the Paul-Tyson fight.

Howard was on X with a challenge as soon as he saw that interview. “Shaq wassup 🥊 let’s make bread 😂” he wrote. But his followers were quick to note that he didn’t tag O’Neal’s official page. So one fan asked, “Not gonna tag him? @SHAQ” and Howard confirmed what we’ve been speculating all along. “I’m blocked lol.“

No, O’Neal was not mad that DH expressed support for Jake Paul while he bet on Iron Mike. This was seemingly the petty closure of their feud.

Dwight Howard wants to exploit Shaq’s idea

It seemed like unicorns and rainbows in Big Man Land for a while. Shaq said he respected Dwight Howard, there was a ceasefire on their years long feud, and apparently had the same opinion on Rudy Gobert. Then Shaq criticized Gobert again and Howard said it’s not his job to.

A series of back-and-forths ensued through their respective podcasts. They even argued over their shared Superman moniker, which Howard pointed out is owned by Shaq’s bosses at Warner Bros. Howard said the 4x champ blocked him over the Superman debate, but Shaq claimed that was never the case. O’Neal even ironically wished him well for Taiwan, and Howard had to remind him he was in the US competing on DWTS. The X exchanges ended abruptly. It does that despite denying blocking him earlier, Shaq really has ceased communication with Howard.

He was at the Tyson-Paul match saying, “Me and Gronk are gonna put together NBA vs. NFL.” Howard expressed he’s all for this tournament. His dream opponents would be NFL pros, Cam Newton and Antonio Brown. But if Shaq wants to throw fists, Howard sounds ready for that too.
