Are the critics satisfied? Dwyane Wade is certainly hyped up after Bronny James put on an insane display in the Lakers’ win against the Washington Wizards. Despite an odd start, he has finally made a field goal, and the fans, even the ones on the road, are here for it! After a grand gesture by the fans and a fascinating reaction from his father, LeBron James, Wade also penned a heartwarming message for the hooper.
Taking to IG Story, the 3x NBA champ shared the clip featuring Bronny’s shot and LeBron’s reaction and wrote, “Keep playing the game you love young man and enjoy putting in the work everyday.”
Playing 15 good minutes in the fourth quarter, he put up 5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, one steal. After failing to make a few shots, he was finally able to score. Despite the absence of Anthony Davis, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Gabe Vincent, the team managed to hand Washington its 16th consecutive loss. Jordan Poole putting up 19 points didn’t help, as the Wizards lost 134-96.

But the game’s final stages remained to Bronny!
As soon as Bronny made the shot, the camera panned toward James. A smile broke across King James’ face as he was about to raise his hand in victory, but quickly walked away. As the camera continued to focus, we saw Rui Hachimura congratulate the champ with a friendly headlock and hug.
“You guys have no idea how much LeBron cares about Bronny,” Hachimura explained about the father son duo.

This performance comes after weeks long of underwhelming performance. Bronny has scored no points since scoring 2 points against the Memphis Grizzlies. Following that, he also had very limited time in the games.
Even back in the 118-104 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, young James didn’t score any points in 15 minutes of his playing time. This was quite a good playing time, however, Bronny James missed all five shots that he took on the night as well as three pointers.

Clarifying his stance on James’ performance, the Los Angeles Lakers head coach, JJ Redick said, “Maybe [I] put him in a tough spot. Flying up yesterday, nationally televised game in Philly and all that stuff. He didn’t play well.” However, he did appreciate Bronny’s game in the G-league. “But he’s been playing great in the stay-ready games and in the [G League]. I have confidence in him,” Redick said.
Bronny James had scored a career high of 31 points. He remains focused on elevating his game, and drew applause from Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat legend, as well!
