Is Dwyane Wade redefining men's wellness, or is it just another celebrity trend?

Dwayne Wade is well set on his idea of wellness. Getting outside, taking a walk, grabbing some coffee. “I need moments for myself,” he had expressed to NewBeauty. It is once again on the top of his list as he heads a Men’s Wellness Retreat #Timeout in a seeming collaboration with Wy Network. But this wasn’t just for him. His friends, influencers, and the crew at his podcast were all in for the weekend and Wade had to bring it to a close with some talk and a nostalgic chant.

This all of us coming in like a team, I wanna make sure we all connected. Make sure we bring it in like a team. So, everybody please grab your hands, put them in a circle, put them up,” Wade can be heard saying in a clip up on his Instagram stories as the men huddled up in a circle. “All right, this is what I said throughout my journey as a basketball player, and still today, the word means everything. On 3 we say ‘together’.

Wade later emphasizes that ‘Time Out’ was more than just ‘men getting together and dealing with their bullsh-it’. It was more of a break before one ends up in a space of needing help. So alongside a recording of his podcast with Joel Abbott and addressing the crowd, Wade ensured to engage in some leisure. This included a dip in an icy cold bath to relax his nerves. One of the other attendees of the event would later share, “Morning Sade to Yoga. With @dwyanewade Men’s Wellness Retreat.

Gabrielle Union would definitely not miss being a part of the weekend away. “I don’t love hot yoga. I’ve actually done it I-don’t-know-how-many times. Every time, I say, Ok, this is my last time. I don’t think I’m built for it. But something always brings me back and I go, ‘Why am I here?’ It’s just not for me,” she had admitted previously.

On the weekend away, however, the crew also took part in an ‘Incredible exercise on Forgiveness, Honesty, Grief, and Anger.’ Also, enjoyed quality time playing a golf simulator at the resort. Now that Dwyane Wade has spent some time away from people, he is back with a social meetup. Which even his wife might like.
