Long before he won his only NBA championship, one former Atlanta Hawks star did his best Michael Jordan impression on the court. But now, he’s not accepting another player getting compared to His Airness.?He’s not gatekeeping MJ, though. He simply thinks the parallels are improbable. As soon as it came up on the Club 520?podcast, the former All-Star didn’t let his co-hosts further this comparison in a hilarious exchange.
While he was at it, he denied ever copying some of MJ’s moves. But there’s evidence in NBA history to the contrary.

Former All-Star finds Michael Jordan incomparable
It’s not a Club 520 podcast without at least one mention of the Black Cat. But the way it came up now was unacceptable to former Atlanta Hawks star Jeff Teague. His co-hosts compared Travis Outlaw, the retired NBA pro who played with the Portland Trailblazers for the majority of his career, to Michael Jordan. According to Teague’s co-hosts, whatever highlights of Bonesaw’s?career were because he emulated MJ.
To that, Teague threateningly drawled, “If you ever mentioned Travis Outlaw and Michael Jordan in the same sentence…” The consequences were left implied, but his co-hosts got it.
His friend tried to defend his comments a little bit. “I know it’s nasty. I’m not trying to make the comparison,” he said and pre-emptively told YouTube trolls to not come after him. But he says that it’s only natural to watch Jordan’s plays on tape and try to be like him.

Outlaw’s NBA career wasn’t as decorated to make him memorable. Even?the?Club 520?hosts admitted you’d have to be really into the NBA to recognize him. Regardless, they meant no disrespect to him.

Teague would go a step further and say Outlaw was authentic in what he did. “I never seen Travis Outlaw do anything that mimic Mike,”?he stated, even if his friends tried to double down on their points.
Teague would give a shoutout to the “OG” aka Mike to try and turn off the debate. He should not be talking, though.

When Jeff Teague acted like MJ
The highlight of Jeff Teague’s career realistically was when he won the 2021 NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks. But before that, he was known for a different moment. It was after the Hawks selected him in the 2009 NBA draft.
In 2014, the Hawks were playing against the Indiana Pacers when Teague nailed a near-impossible 3-pointer with the clock running out. When you achieve the improbable, you do what His Airness?did. And Teague did the iconic Michael Jordan signature shrug. The actual move before the ball sunk looked like an uncomfortable circus feat, with the lack of space and his body leaning. Almost like he said he got lucky, Teague shrugged his shoulders.

Now when his co-hosts claim he’s copied a few people, Teague is in denial. Well, you do you, Jeff.
