There is no way the Inside Crew is missing the NBA All-Star Weekend. Now that the highlight of the league’s calendar is coming to Indianapolis for the first since 1985, TNT is working round the clock to create the set so Inside the NBA will broadcast live from inside the Indiana Convention Center. Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson, Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith, and Charles Barkley will cover the games live starting at 7:30 pm EST on Thursday, February 15.

Local Indianapolis media revealed how hundreds of workers and dozens of local contractors powered through to build the set on this tight deadline. News8 gave a glimpse into the work that’s been on for more than a week, so the quality of Studio J in Atlanta is felt in Indiana too.

NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal will kick off the day-long fan experience as DJ Diesel. He’ll perform alongside Machine Gun Kelly in the same venue, along with hosting fan competitions, giveaways, and interactive games. TNT has an extra support crew to adjust the cameras between the concert and the studio show.

The live pregame broadcast begins before the Milwaukee Bucks visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. They’ll swiftly move to the Rising Stars competition on Friday and subsequently the All-Star weekend broadcasts.

The scale is so massive that the entire TNT coverage is taking place at three venues. While Inside the NBA will film from the Convention Center, TNT will be on the scene through the All-Star Weekend, including the game at 8:30 pm EST Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse as well as the broadcast at Lucas Oil Stadium. But there’s more happening behind the scenes.
