Sharing his views about the Lakers trade from 2008, Gasol revealed, “That obviously changed my life and my career. I know some people in the league were upset about the trade… And that’s how I got to know the person who elevated my game like no other”.?

Showing his profound love for 18x All-Star Bryant, Gasol added, “Taught me what it took to win at the highest level. Who showed me how hard you had to work, in the mentality you needed to have in order to be the best.” As he got emotional, the 2-time Olympic Silver Medalist shared, “I wouldn’t be here without you, brother. I wish more than anything that you and Gigi were here today with us. I miss you and love you.”

While his words moved everyone in attendance, he surely must have been glad to see a familiar face in the crowd.

Vanessa Bryant gives Gasol his dream come true moment?

A day ago, Gasol shared in an interview that he wished Bryant was alive to induct him into the Hall of Fame. As the Lakers legend is not with us today, Gasol made sure he changed his choice. Moreover, he had a wish regarding Bryant’s wife, Vanessa.?
