The shocking news of Bronny James’ heart disease shook the entire sports world. Back in July, LeBron James’s son Bronny collapsed due to a cardiac arrest during a workout session with the USC Trojans. As the young athlete was immediately taken to hospital for treatment, friends and fans prayed for his fast recovery. As fans express concerns over his heart condition, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal’s son showed a ray of hope to the people.

Bronny’s friend and O’Neal’s second eldest, Shareef has previously experienced his own heart issues. While Bronny’s condition might not be the same as what Shareef has experienced, his career stands as a hope.

Bronny James is suffering from heart disease

Recently in an ESPN article, it was revealed that the athlete’s cardiac arrest might have been due to a congenital heart defect (CHD). CHD is a defect or problem with the heart’s structure is such that there’s an issue with the blood vessels near the heart or heart walls.

According to the report, James’ family spokeswoman said, “We are very confident in Bronny’s full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future. We will continue to provide updates to media and respectfully reiterate the family’s request for privacy.”

While fans felt relief with the news of James’ recovery, they are also concerned about the disease affecting his career. Amidst the tension and concern, Shareef’s recovery from his heart disease sends a positive note to fans and well-wishers.
