LeBron James has faced plenty of rivals throughout his career. From Steph Curry to Kevin Durant to the late Kobe Bryant, ‘The King’ has never lacked worthy opponents pushing him to greatness. Yet, one lesser-known feud flew under the radar but remains deeply personal: his intense clashes with Joakim Noah. Recently, the former Chicago Bulls star broke his silence on their fiery history, revealing how LeBron’s antics got under his skin.

A clip shared by CHGO Bulls from the Out The Mud podcast brought new life to Noah’s rivalry with LeBron. In the candid discussion, Joakim didn’t mince words when describing how he felt playing against LBJ. “I felt like LeBron was, he was obviously the best player in the NBA,” he began.

But Noah was quick to add, “But he was arrogant. And he’s a stunter.Noah went even further, calling out LeBron’s showmanship during games.

“There were moments where, you know, you’re down 20 points, you’re shooting a free throw with your left hand, you’re dancing all over the court. I wasn’t feeling it. So I let it be known that I wasn’t feeling none of this sh*t. I had enough,” he admitted.

His frustration paints a vivid picture of just how heated the rivalry truly was.

Surprisingly, Noah didn’t just throw shade. While appearing on The Old Man and The Three podcast, he gave LeBron his well-deserved props for his longevity and dominance. “To be dominant at 40 years old is pretty crazy,” Noah said, even joking, “I mean I can barely walk to the bathroom. And this guy is still dominating.”

Both men are nearing 40, but their careers couldn’t look more different now. Noah, long retired, last played a handful of games in the 2019-20 season. Meanwhile, LeBron remains a powerhouse, averaging 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds last season. Noah might not have been a fan of LeBron’s court antics, but even he can’t deny that the ‘Akron Hammer’ continues to reign supreme.

Joakim Noah crowns LeBron James the greatest

Joakim Noah, known for his fiery intensity and defensive brilliance, played a huge role in the Chicago Bulls’ battles to reclaim the Eastern Conference between 2009 and 2015. As the heart and soul of the Bulls, Noah regularly found himself clashing with LeBron James in unforgettable matchups.

During a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast, Noah opened up about their heated history and didn’t hold back from calling James the greatest player he’s ever faced.

While Noah’s Bulls brought their grit, LeBron’s teams always got the upper hand, eliminating them in all four playoff series they faced. Reflecting on those bitter defeats, Noah admitted, “It never happened, though. I’m still processing, you know? At the end of the day, this is the business of competition.”

Even so, he isn’t shy about recognizing greatness. “You’ve got to give the guy his flowers. Greatest I’ve ever played against,” Noah acknowledged when speaking of LeBron.

And despite Noah’s loyalty to Michael Jordan as a Chicago legend, he couldn’t help but marvel at Bron’s longevity. With the NBA’s all-time scorer entering his 22nd season, Noah was also in awe of the fact that “Bron gets to play with his son this year, so you’ve got to give Bron his flowers. Respect to him.”

Respect to him, indeed, as LeBron continues to write his legendary story, now sharing the court with his son for an unforgettable new chapter.
