Recently, ex-NBA star Chandler Parsons talked about Davis’ performance throughout the in-season tournament. Parsons said that this version of AD is lethal and he wishes to see more of it.

AD’s role in the LA Lakers team was under a cloud of doubt for a long time. The most common concern for people was when or if he would be able to break out of LeBron James‘ shadow. With a lot of questions coming his way, Davis getting back in prime form was of utmost importance, and that is exactly what he did when it mattered the most. During the recently concluded in-season tournament final, AD was at the peak of his prowess. The 30-year-old dropped 41 points with 20 rebounds and ensured the victory for his team.

Among many who are awestruck by AD’s performance in the final is the 35-year-old ex-NBA star. On the Run It Back show he said that this version of Davis is what the Lakers need and what he wanted to see. Parsons said, “[Anthony Davis] is a top, top elite player in this league when he gives that effort.” In addition to that, Parsons expressed that he wishes to see more of the chest-thumping AD on the court. He said, “We just want it more often.”

Parsons also said that consistency from AD will eventually mean the ultimate glory for the Lakers franchise.
