Caitlin Clark’s Prada ensemble, Angel Reese’ Bronx and Banco, or Cameron Brink’s Balmain gown, 2024 has been a fashion highlight for the WNBA. An aspect previously floated by the likes of Kelsey Plum or Candace Parker is being carried on well by the rookies, arriving in statements for the games. In the center of it today, is the Chicago Sky’s rookie forward, Reese, who used a hilarious trend involving Shaquille O’Neal, to showcase her collaboration with a multi-billion clothing brand.

For her game against the Los Angeles Sparks, Angel Reese decided to pop out in a stunning pregame outfit, styled by Revolve clothing, that garnered quite the attention on social media. After bagging a 10-point win over the LA unit, Reese decided to flex her outfit to her followers, and wrote in the captions, 1999 Shaq”.

If you are wondering what this means, just recall how dominant Shaquille O’Neal was with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1999. Internet has used phrases like, 1999 Shaq”, 2011 Shaq”, etc. to differentiate between a dominant and an underwhelming display. Reese smartly chose Shaq’s late 90s era to promote her collaboration with Revolve who have a reported net worth of around $1.3 billion.
