In case you haven’t noticed, the guest roster of Unapologetically Angel is on fire lately. After Glorilla and Shaquille O’Neal, Angel Reese teased her next guests. One of them is four star recruit and Carmelo Anthony’s son, Kiyan Anthony. He’s going to be next potential breakout star in college once he commits to a school (possibly in November). Reese knows all about that feeling but before she talks about it, they had to get a few customary TikTok challenges out of way. It’s got Kiyan’s mom, La La Anthony over the moon. And Angel needs some of that sweet positivity.

Can’t go on Unapologetically Angel without doing a few trendy challenges. Kiyan did pop into Reese’s TikTok channel. Despite his mom recently exposing his rapping chops, the 17-year-old was quite shy for this one.

It was cute regardless. Enough for La La to share this one with an extra message, “Love these two.” She also threw in a few heart emojis with their names.

Angel has a huge cheerleader and friend in La La. She recently gifted the BMF star Reebok sneakers in her new colorway. La La has shown her excitement over Angel’s milestones under the Reebok banner, like the announcement of her signature shoe release date in 2026.

A big part of it is owed to Shaquille O’Neal. But the big man’s appearance on Unapologetically Angel left a bad taste in fans’ mouths.

Unapologetic Shaq soured the mood

There was a lot of anticipation when Angel Reese launched her own podcast during her rookie season. As Unapologetically Angel is under The Big Podcast Network, fans were waiting for the moment her Unc and mentor would drop by the show. When Shaq was in Chicago recently, they knew the episode was coming soon. But it didn’t go down the way it explained.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Shaquille O'Neal out of touch with his controversial suggestions for the WNBA?

Have an interesting take?

After getting the standard topics out of the way – mentoring Reese, LSU, Caitlin Clark, and Reebok – things took an awkward turn. O’Neal’s opinions on relationships, his desperate attempts to set her up, and some other comments were not well-received online. But his suggestive recommendations to get more viewership to the WNBA infuriated fans.

Shaq’s been on a campaign that the WNBA needs to lower the rims, have more dunks, increase the viewership, and reduce the pay gap. The sentiments are valid but his suggestions to Angel Reese weren’t as classy. Reese only hid her face behind her hand but fans poured out their disappointment in Shaq online.

Kiyan and La La are getting completely different reactions. Everyone’s waiting to see what Kiyan’s going to discuss with the former NCAA champion. And fans have kickstarted a new campaign to bring La La or Melo on the show now. That would be exciting to see!
