Shannon Sharpe had a truly long day, as he first claimed to be hacked, but later admitted his mistake. “I’m embarrassed,” Unc addressed the matter on his show, Night Cap. The Denver Broncos legend got trolled throughout the day, even by Michael Jordan’s son and Kendrick to his Drake, Shaquille O’Neal. However this time, there was no diss track. But Shaq still used the rapping influence of Rick Ross to clap back at Sharpe.
Shaq uploaded an Instagram story, where Rick Ross trolled Sharpe. In the video, he claimed that the NFL legend was old and thus didn’t have the technological know-how. That’s why the NSFW moment got shared with 3.2 million Insta followers of the former tight end. Previous to this story, the 4x NBA champion also uploaded an IG post where Sharpe was clarifying the issue.
The same post that Shaq uploaded from ‘The Shade Room’ also had comments from Marcus Jordan. Michael Jordan’s son also was part of the headlines for a sniffing moment just a few weeks ago. But he couldn’t hold it in to troll Sharpe, commenting not once but twice. “I’m ridin’ w/ Unk,” the Trophy room owner also wrote, “FaceTime, lol.”

Many people might troll Sharpe, but there are few in his corner. Chad Johnson, his co-host of Night Cap, was first disappointed by the 3x Super Bowl Champion. But later wholeheartedly was ready to offer a second chance and called Sharpe “That’s My Dawg.” The same second chance that he once offered to Shaq, after refusing to continue their beef.
Shaq dissed Shannon Sharpe over the MVP debate
The NBA Hall of Famer and the Pro Football Hall of Famer made it personal earlier this year. During the ‘Inside the NBA’ show, Shaq said, he respected Nikola Jokic but thought Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the natural choice for 2024 NBA MVP. Last season, Jokic helped OKC claim the number 1 spot in the Western Conference over Denver Nuggets.
Shannon Sharpe had a different point of view, stating that Shaq is never part of the GOAT debate, and that has made him envious of players like Jokic. Plus, he also called out the work ethic of O’Neal. “If Shaq would have had — let’s just say — if he’d had my work ethic, he’d have had 40,000 points.”
Obviously, Shaq took it personally and clapped back at Sharpe. Tweeting NFL’s senior media analyst Gil Brandt’s top tight ends list where Sharpe was on number 11 and added that he would only listen to people who are top 10 in their own sport. O’Neal also dropped a 2-minute 51-second diss track to hammer his point. After the viral diss track, “I mean, I don’t have no problem with Shaq,” Sharpe said via ‘People’. “He said what he said, I’m ready to move on.”
