Ever since Derrick Rose became a father, he wanted to do right by his children. “Growing up without my dad being around, it’s definitely going to help me to raise him.” After he retired from the game, the youngest MVP in the NBA’s history is naturally spending more time with his family. But also expanding his other business, especially working with the brand he signed in 2011. Despite being signed with Adidas, it seems his kids prefer Nike.
“HE JUST WANTED SHOES WHEW A TEENAGER😩.” Alaina A. Anderson Rose, wife of the Bulls legend, shared a few snippets of the family’s Christmas celebrations. The entire blended family wore matching PJs during the family holidays. In the snippets, it was Derrick Rose Jr. the oldest kid of Pooh with his ex-girlfriend, Mieka Reese, standing with plenty of Nike sneakers boxes. The valuation of the company, according to Statista, is $30 billion. But, amid all those Nike boxes, there was a box of Adidas’ acclaimed Yeezy Boost 700.
Even though Nike might be a favorite of Derrick Rose’s kid, his wife, Alaina was worried about the number of boxes of different kicks. The eldest son of the 36-year-old is on his hooping journey. In April this year, he also won an AAU chip after a major contribution. The caption of the celebratory Instagram post read, “PJ hit a dagger three to put the game away 😮💨.” And now, the Chicago native can focus more on his kid’s journey. Similarly, D-Rose also made sure to help other kids on their journey, thanks to Adidas.
