While she may have stolen his limelight during the game, the emotional Indiana Pacers icon expressed his immense pride in his friend. As a documentary centered around the Las Vegas Aces star is all set for its release, Miller extended his support to the 3x WNBA champion.

Taking to his Instagram account, he wrote a few words of encouragement to the basketball legend.

Last year, ESPN revealed their plans to produce a documentary centered around the career and personal life of Candace Parker. While the majority of fans are familiar with her spectacular on-court performances, the forthcoming show, titled ‘Unapologetic’, will offer an exploration of her life as both an athlete and a mother of two.

Scheduled for release on November 12 on ESPN, this documentary will chronicle Parker’s time throughout the 2022 season, a year that also saw her welcome a son with her wife, Anna Petrakova. NBA legend Reggie Miller also attended the show’s launch event to express his support. A picture of both of them was shared on Parker’s Instagram story, showcasing their friendship.

The 5x NBA All-Star also featured a clip of Parker discussing the documentary on his Instagram story, further underlining the excitement surrounding the project. He wrote,What an AMAZING story from an AMAZING woman, proud of you baby sis @candaceparker @espn.”

Nonetheless, a tinge of sadness and concern clouded their spirits when they witnessed the star’s absence from the WNBA finals.

Candace Parker’s WNBA season cut short by injury

As a perennial high school standout, she has consistently demonstrated her remarkable basketball prowess. Her journey from being a high school star to securing two national championships with the University of Tennessee and clinching two WNBA titles with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2016 and the Chicago Sky in 2021 cemented her status as one of the finest players in the game.

Regrettably, Parker’s exceptional season took an unexpected turn when she was compelled to withdraw from the remainder of the season due to a foot fracture that required surgery. Despite grappling with the discomfort, she displayed immense determination and resilience, contributing an average of 9.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists over the course of 18 games before making the difficult decision.
