World-famous sports brand Reebok will look to regain its mark in basketball very soon. The multi-billion company has added Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal to its core, but nothing would be possible without its vice president Allen Iverson. While he stays busy working towards a huge mission for Reebok, the Hall of Famer took some time off to honor a few NBA legends along with surprising news. Sharing some insight into a $3.15 billion franchise’s dream plan for him, Iverson honored a few NBA greats on his Instagram.?

The list involved a few “immortalized” legends like Charles Barkley, Julius Erving, Wilt Chamberlain, and more. However, why did Iverson give a shoutout to the above-mentioned superstars all of a sudden?

Reebok was last relevant in the NBA when they signed superstars like Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal during their prime. Ever since, Nike and Air Jordan have dominated the NBA market. By bringing in Shaq and AI, the billion-dollar franchise is all set for a comeback. Well, that will not be the only highlight for the 2001 MVP.

Iverson came up with a new update on his Instagram. Standing outside the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia, the 48-year-old shared a video of the statues of some Philadelphia 76ers legends.

At the end of the video, Iverson showed an empty spot and shared,?“You know what next…Can’t wait”. The Sixers icon confirmed that he will soon be immortalized outside the arena as he added, “Honored to soon be immortalized amongst the Sixers greats!”

As he moved from one side to another, the ‘Answer‘ showcased the statues of Hal Greer, Billy Cunningham, Wilt Chamberlain, Maurice Cheeks, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, and Dolph Schayes.

Allen Iverson will join the ‘Legends Walk’, ending the long wait

The above-mentioned series of statues is known as the ‘Legends Walk’. The last addition was Dolph Schayes, who was immortalized nearly 7 years after his death. A statue for Iverson was a long-awaited one and finally, it has happened.?

In fact, the Sixers even faced severe backlash for not doing this sooner considering what Iverson has done for the franchise. There are several reports and articles throwing direct shade at the $3.15 billion team for delaying the process.?
