“Shame to put ai to promote authentik greatness…”—fans were visibly upset with Scottie Pippen seemingly leaning towards innovative tech. It all started with Pip sharing an image that he claimed to be clicked on his flight back after the 1991 Finals series. The high quality of the image and its resemblance to an AI-generated image sparked outrage among fans in the comments for relying on tech for such an iconic moment despite having multiple authentic images. It seems, however, that Pip found a way to turn this backlash into a hilarious task.

Following the controversy, he urged fans to keep going with the AI-generated images on their end. And once again, the internet didn’t disappoint. Among the series of fan-generated images that Pip shared, one featured “Scottie Flippin” flipping patties on a BBQ grill. Meanwhile, another starred “Scottie Strippin” in a dance pose with the stripping pole.

From Simpin to Snitchin, fans had a series of other hilarious wordplay on his last name and AI generated images reflecting those names. The 6x NBA champ, however, mentioned the most hilarious one in his caption to the IG post.

“Scottie Drippen… 😂 I asked my followers to keep it going and they didn’t disappoint,” Pip wrote. Outputs so hilarious that even former NBA star Matt couldn’t resist commenting, “This is dope”.

Dwight Howard, meanwhile, responded with biceps-flexing emojis. Seemingly a nod to Scottie Liftin in the series of images.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Scottie Pippen's AI image game a clever move or a step too far from reality?

Have an interesting take?

While the hilarious outputs from fans came after his alleged use of AI for his image in the flight, it’s not as if this was the first instance when Scottie Pippen relied on the artificial intelligence to promote the memorabilia from Bulls first championship in 1991.

“I held onto the game-winning ball that night, and for 33 years, it’s been with me everywhere I’ve gone. Now, I’m taking that ball to the blockchain with the @Game5Ball project, turning it into a tokenized asset in the world of crypto,” Pipe captioned his September IG post that also included a series of AI generated images with the Game 5 Ball.

Fans, however, want the ex-Bulls star to use real images even if he wants to promote his cryptocurrency. Their argument? Real images would add an authentic touch to his venture.

Scottie Pippen had a bizarre question sharing an AI-generated image of a billionaire businessman

Imagine this: the legendary Chicago Bulls of the ’90s, already unstoppable, adding Tesla CEO Elon Musk to their roster. Sounds absurd, right? Well, that’s exactly the wild scenario Pip tossed out on social media, leaving fans scratching their heads.

Pippen shared an AI-generated image on his X account, showing Musk in a Chicago Bulls jersey sporting the number 13. The caption?

“How many championships would we have won with @ElonMusk?” Playful, sure, but it certainly caught everyone off guard.

Let’s be real—Musk is a genius in tech and space exploration, but on a basketball court? That’s another story. Still, it’s hard not to chuckle at the idea of Musk throwing assists to Jordan or driving to the hoop.

Fans, however, were divided, but most of them wondering the same thing: Why Elon Musk? Seemingly another answer that only Pip knows after the question of why he shares AI generated images of 1991 finals rather than using the real ones.
