Today’s edition of?NBA on TNT?is special for Shaquille O’Neal. He’s putting aside his beef with Damian Lillard to collaborate on a new version of “Shaq & Kobe,” the original track by Rick Ross and Meek Mill. The artist behind it, Rick Ross himself arrived in the TNT studio with a special gift.

After scoring 39 points in his Bucks debut, Lillard had more to celebrate. This time as Dame Dolla, as he and Shaq premiered the “Shaq & Kobe” remix at?Inside the NBA. He’s shooting for the bling that comes with an NBA championship. Meanwhile, the one with four such rings, O’Neal has a new addition to his collection.

When he arrived at the?Inside the NBA?set, Ross presented Shaq with a spinning MMG chain that was almost as massive as Shaq’s fist. Ross and Mill flaunted their hangout with the Inside Crew?and their gift to Shaq on social media boisterously.

Recently, he was blown away when the hip-hop mogul turned his combined accolades with Kobe Bryant into one iconic rap track, “Shaq & Kobe.” Ross also reunited with his version of Kobe, Meek Mill for this track. Fans are loving the hip-hop and basketball greats coming together in this fashion during the opening week of the 2023-24 season. However, this collab is bigger than you think.

Rap mogul forges Shaq-Dame collab

It was Ross who broke the best piece of news for hip-hop and basketball lovers on his way to TNT. He stated that HoF-er and future HoF-er,?DJ Diesel, and Dame Dolla have put their own spin on his latest song.?Ross and Mill’s joint album, Too Good to be True, will be released on November 10. The tribute to the iconic Lakers duo is the first release from the album.

That has an extra layer now. Shaq and Dame’s remix of the original “Shaq & Kobe” is now available for streaming everywhere. Only a few weeks ago, Shaq was elevating himself above Lillard as the original who started the athlete-rapper bandwagon. That’s why no one expected this duo to come together for this tribute to the late Bryant.

It appears that Ross is making good use of being O’Neal’s neighbor. The emcee ended the athlete-rapper beef by bringing the NBA stars together on this song. If ever Shaq wants to trigger the debate again, he has a massive MMG chain to remind him of the truce. Now we need Ross to gift Dame Dolla his chain too.
