A backflip dunk from a 16-foot ladder? Done. Hoverboarding on hand? Done. Stuff has been out there pulling off crazy stunts like these for years. Oh, in case you don’t know him, he’s Orlando Magic’s wild, chaotic, and slightly unhinged green fluffball (in the best way possible). This guy does things most wouldn’t even dream of. But last year? While fans are thrilled about Howard’s Hall of Fame induction, many have questioned why it took Orlando this long to recognize the player who led them to the 2009 NBA Finals. Some argue he should have been honored years ago, given his franchise-altering impact. Yet, all’s well that ends well, right?

And just when you thought the excitement couldn’t get any bigger, Magic’s mascot, Stuff, decided to crash the party! He took to Instagram to show love for Dwight, showing once again that their bond is as legendary as Howard’s time with the team.

Last year, Stuff, the Orlando Magic mascot, pulled off something only he could. He picked up Dwight Howard, spun him around on his shoulders, and had the entire arena laughing. And Howard loved every second of it. Today, Dwight is on the brink of basketball immortality, about to be inducted into the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame. True to form, Stuff made sure to turn the moment into something unforgettable.

To celebrate, Stuff shared the throwback clip of him spinning Howard like a trophy, along with a series of Instagram stories packed with photos and videos, all dedicated to his longtime friend. But the real showstopper? His final post. He dropped a powerful tribute a poster featuring Howard in various Orlando Magic jerseys, cementing his place in the Hall of Fame. And the post’s caption? Dwight Howard’s NBA journey was a hard-fought battle. Eighteen seasons. Seven teams. Countless highs and lows. But in 2022, that chapter finally came to an end. Many will always remember Howard for his dominant eight-year run with the Orlando Magic, where he became a superstar. After his dominant Orlando run, Howard’s career took unexpected detours — injuries, team changes, and doubts about his place in the league. On an episode of Above the Rim W/ DH 12, Howard opened up about his decision to leave the NBA, and you could hear the frustration in his voice. “At that point, I was fed up, I was fed up with all the cap and the lies,” Howard continues, “So I was like man I’d rather just go somewhere and hoop because it’s just too many lies, and then as much work as I’m putting in to play year after year and sacrificing my family time.”  So, he walked away. Not from the game, but from the inside politics. “I’d rather go overseas, get my little bag, hoop like I want to hoop, and come back home with my family.” And that’s exactly what he did.

But if we look back, we will see that nothing has ever come easy for Dwight Howard. He fought for everything, constantly proving himself. With his name forever cemented in the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame, Dwight Howard’s legacy is no longer up for debate. His contributions shaped an era, and now, his place in history is undeniable.
