Shaquille O’Neal isn’t just a basketball legend or a simple $500 million worth millionaire. He’s a walking, talking circus of outrageous moments that defy logic and reason. From dancing in commercials to making financial decisions that would make Wall Street traders blush, ‘The Big Aristotle’ has consistently proven that he’s not your average celebrity. Now with his bizarre dare, it seems like his antics are getting weirdly bolder with age.
In the latest episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, things took an eyebrow-raising turn when Grammy-nominated rapper 2 Chainz brought up a peculiar question. Co-host Adam Lefkoe found himself in the hot seat when 2 Chainz asked, “Okay I got a question. Why do white people take their shoes off and put it on the dashboard.”
Lefkoe, who was clearly baffled, responded that it was his pet peeve. “I’m a strict anti-foot person. Like when I’m on the airplane. Today, I flew down here today and I saw a dude wearing like sandals and his toes were wiggling and I was like if he sits near me, this whole flight is f—-ing ruined, like I think it’s f—-ing gross,” said Lefkoe during the podcast.

Sensing an opportunity for humor, Shaq didn’t let the moment slide. He turned to Lefkoe and, laughing, proposed an unforgettable challenge. “We need to come up with a new segment… would you? The white guy you saw with the dirty feet would you just go to his feet and go [licking gesture] for 10 million, yeah thank you, see would you?” said Shaq. However, in the end, he changed the narrative towards himself. “I would. For 10 million cash tax-free, I’m not s—-ing nothing or none but I go like [licking gesture], for 10 million yeah,” added the seven-footer.
This isn’t the first time Shaq has made headlines for his outrageous spending habits. Whether it’s buying 15 pairs of the same shoes or spending a cool million in less time than most people take for a lunch break, Shaq has always lived life in the most ‘Shaq-tacular’ way possible and once Shaq signed a deal with a trading card company and received a cheque for $1 million. However, he emptied his check in the most lavish way possible.
“I spent a million dollars in 30 minutes. I get a check for a million dollars from my trading card company. Always wanted a black-on-black Mercedes-Benz. So, I go get it. $150 [thousand] minus a million, I still got $850 [thousand] left, I’m still good. I get home, my father said, ‘That’s nice. Where’s mine at?’ Me and him, we get in the car, go get the exact same car for him. We get home, my mom’s a little jealous. So, we got three Benzes,” Shaq revealed during a podcast.
In a world of stick-to-script celebrity personas, Shaquille O’Neal is a beacon of original unfiltered, unapologetic entertainment. This recent podcast moment is not a funny anecdote ― it’s a call to remember we have people out there who are too big, too bold, and too brilliantly bizarre to conform to conventional norms. And honestly? We wouldn’t want Shaq any other way.
However, there was another time when a similar bizarre dare surfaced regarding the seven-footer.
When Shaq was moments away from kissing Steve Kerr’s feet

We already saw how weird Shaq’s narratives can turn into. However, this isn’t the first rodeo for the Los Angeles Lakers standout. Just a few days back, the Golden State Warriors Coach Steve Kerr had brought up something, that would have cost Shaq a part of his dignity.
Kerr helped resurface a video of O’Neal from 2005, days after the Lakers traded him to the Heat. In the video, Shaq could be seen targeting coach Phil Jackson on a very particular topic. “If a coach takes a team to the Finals four out of five years, I’ll kiss his feet on Fear Factor with cheese on it. I will. It will never be done again,” said Shaq during an interview. Who knew that the tables would turn for him?
The seven-footer was so confident with his challenge because he, with the Lakers, had won three titles, took the team to the Finals four out of five years, and thought it was impossible for anyone else. But Kerr made the impossible possible. Fifteen years later, Kerr took the Warriors to five Finals between 2014-2019, winning three titles in the process.

Now whether Shaq completed the dare or not is unknown but this moment remains as a lesson for the seven-footer to not make bold claims all the time.
