His social circle transcends sports, including one of the highest-grossing actors in history, Samuel L. Jackson. Their friendship is the stuff of legends, from hanging out at events to casual outings.

For the actor behind Nick Fury, this month is special. His wife of 43 years, LaTanya Jackson celebrated her 74th birthday on October 21. The Jacksons kept their celebration private. But Magic Johnson let everyone know he doesn’t skip a friend’s birthday.

As he’s inclined to, Magic and his wife, Cookie, shared a heartfelt birthday greeting to LaTanya on X. “Cookie and I want to say happy birthday to a special lady and friend, LaTanya Jackson!!” The message prompted the NBA star’s 5.2 million followers to respond with wishes to LaTanya as well.

They’re a low-key couple and the last people got a glimpse of their romance was when Samuel and LaTanya were spotted on a date night over a month ago. Perhaps the Jacksons and Johnsons had dinner together. However, it can’t be confirmed based on the photograph Magic shared.

The Commanders head honcho has not specified when the picture was taken. Magic and Cookie hang out with Samuel and LaTanya often. In fact, they spent a lot of time this year exploring a whole continent.

This past summer, Magic and Cookie sailed around Europe on a yacht joined by Samuel L. Jackson and LaTanya Jackson. They were also joined by Michael Jordan and his wife on his own yacht.

Previously, the Hollywood icon and many other celebrities joined Magic and his wife on a milestone birthday event. In 2021, Johnson chartered a superyacht, Aquila, for a Mediterranean cruise that costs about $1.2 million a week. Samuel with his wife and kids as well as LL Cool J and more were on board.
