A recent social media post brought the two players together, as it seems that they have more in common than what people expected.

Michael Jordan and Cristiano Ronaldo share a major milestone

TCR, a fan account dedicated to Ronaldo, recently uploaded a post. It features a picture of the football player and the Chicago Bulls legend in the forefront, while the background highlighted the apparel worn by Ivorian footballer Ousmane Diomande and French footballer Kylian Mbapp?. Mbappe was wearing a shirt with the Jordan brand logo on its side, while Diomande was donning a shirt carrying the logo of CR7. A caption accompanying the picture read ?Cristiano Ronaldo x Michael Jordan are the ONLY two athlete brands to feature on a football kit”.

Jordan?s brand is known to be the kit sponsor for the Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (PSG) since 2018. Having being paid a whopping 200 million euros by His Airness?s brand for the creation of further kits in 2021, each jersey of PSG is known to feature his logo on the right chest side.

The jersey featured in the tweet highlighted the CR7 logo on the jersey of players belonging to Ronaldo?s former club: Sporting Lisbon. They were released as part of a tribute to Ronaldo, commemorating his 21-year debut with the club.

Ronaldo learned an important lesson from Jordan when it came to marriage

Ronaldo married his longtime girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez back in 2016. According to El Desmarque, the couple signed a prenuptial agreement. It guaranteed that, in the unlikely event of a divorce, that the footballer would be able to preserve his assets.

It is common amongst high profile people to take such an action. While it was something that Michael Jordan himself chose to indulge in, he didn?t pay much attention to the fine print. And it cost him dearly.

Jordan was married for over 17 years to his first wife, Juanita Vanoy. After finalizing their divorce in 2006, Vanoy walked away with a whopping $168 million settlement from Jordan. The amount became the costliest divorce settlement to ever be paid by an athlete or celebrity, surpassing singer Neil Diamond?s then $150 million record.
