The versatile self of Shaquille O’Neal has found success in many professions outside basketball. He features as an analyst for NBA on TNT and is also a business mogul, renowned musician and disc jockey. It was recently revealed that the four-time NBA Champion is set to make his much awaited comeback to the world of music with a rather special music duo.

Initially, O’Neal entertained the crowd by breaking basketball backboards. Then as a musician, he collaborated with big-time musicians in Michael Jackson, Biggie, and Snoop Dogg. Now, he’s set to collaborate with a unique music band known best known for howling.

Shaquille O’Neal set to return to the world of hip-hop

O’Neal was missing from the rap scene for the past many years. It’s been reported that he’s set to do a feature alongside the Los Angeles based rapper duo the Coyotes. Shaq will have his very own rap segment on the much awaited record ‘3 Lokos’.

One of the members of the duo revealed that Shaq was open to the idea of collaborating as long the track was old school and hardcore.

He said, “(Shaq) was like, as long as it’s some hardcore stuff, I’m down. So we made a hardcore hip hop’ 90s-type song, and we’re like, ‘Bro, let’s send it to Shaq,’ and he got on it, did his thing, he spit like 32 bars. He went off!” 

The rapper revealed that the DJ Diesel was spitting bars better than the majority of the major rappers in the music industry. All this after DJ Diesel dropped his debut dubstep album last month.

Shaq released Gorilla Warfare

The Los Angeles Lakers legend released his 10 song album “Gorilla Warfare” on August 18th.

Fans of O’Neal were in for a treat with the Monstercat-released record. In the build up, Shaq up opened why he wants to create music for the public.

He said, “It’s not because I have to, or even want to. It’s because I need to. It’s in my DNA.”
