Commercials went haywire when two popular people in their field worked together. American Express promoted a campaign as it decided to cast Kendrick Lamar and Shaquille O’Neal in soap shopping commercials. The hip-hopper and the NBA legend shared the screen space where Shaq was hit by Kendrick.

This old commercial resurfaces as Shaq is smacked by a DJ, his 26-year-old stepson, Myles. The Lakers legend looked baffled and commented, “do your kids beat you up too?” The father-and-son duo shared a beautiful bond as one could forget Myles is Shaq’s stepson.

The commercial features Shaq and Kendrick as they shop in Los Angeles. The duo starts looking for some artisanal soaps.

As the ad opens up, Kendrick sniffs on soaps, as does Shaq. The 7-foot giant basketball star asked Lamar to put the soap in the basket. In the attempt, the soap accidentally knocked O’Neal on the head. The rapper was genuinely surprised and probably feared for his life!

But O’Neal took it as a friendly gesture. “It’s still a win.” Shaq eased it and made the ad sound hilarious. It’s not quite often we witness this NBA legend promoting beauty products in commercials.

The video stemmed from Shaq’s recent act with his son, Myles, which was uploaded in the 26-year-old’s Instagram account.
