A clip of Harden making his declaration caught the attention of former Houston Rockets star, Dwight Howard. Sharing an edited version of the video on his Instagram, Howard could be seen exclaiming his praise over Harden?s rant against his former team?s head. Harden and Howard were teammates for a few seasons in Houston under then-GM Morey.

From the caption that Howard wrote in his post, the 10x NBA All-Star was made an offer that he couldn?t refuse. It read, ?Aye James I?m about to buy a team, you can be the franchise player and a partner. Forget 84 you gone score 100. Come on you already in Asia just stay right there it?s a shorter flight to Taiwan?

This is not the first time that Howard has made an offer to a fellow NBA player to leave the league behind and join his team. The current Taoyuan Leopards player has been making headlines for his repeated efforts to get Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James on his side for quite some time.

James Harden’s remarks resulted in the launch of an official inquiry

One might have thought that James Harden?s remarks against his former team?s president would have no repercussions. They would, however, be wrong.

A few days after Harden?s words became public, ESPN reported that the NBA has begun an official inquiry into the player?s actions. According to the article, the offices of the renowned league are investigating whether Harden engaged in a ?violation of the league’s collective bargaining agreement.?

Prominent NBA reporter Shams Charania took to X to report on the news. He explained that Harden was cooperating with the probe, telling them that Daryl Morey offered to trade Harden ?quickly? after he had opted into his $35.6 million option. The official stance of the 76ers, however, has changed since then and they want to reportedly retain Harden for the next few years.
